Chetsada Phuwiang
Lives and works in Bangkok and Suphan Buri, Thailand
Chetsada Phuwiang employs the innovative mediums of sand and airbrush painting, creating vibrant abstractions of haptic experience. In his textured paintings, soft gradients and dynamic gestures collide, capturing moments of intimacy that are transient, elusive, and at times unattainable. Through images of fleeting physicality, his works engage with dialogues around queer sensuality and sexuality, exploring tensions of intimacy and belonging. Often exploring liminal states such as dream and desire, he creates shifting realms of transition and transformation. Phuwiang dissolves the boundaries between bodies and bodies in space, inviting viewers to contemplate the fluidity of identity and the ephemeral nature of connection.
