In conjunction with the last day of “Sīmā”, Vacharanont Sinvaravatn’s solo exhibition, Nova Contemporary is pleased to invite you to a conversation between the artist and and Dr.Sayan Daengklom, moderated by Nutdanai Songsriwilai.

 

Together, they will explore the ideas and themes of “Sīmā”, reflecting on Sinvaravatn’s artistic process, research, and the historical and cultural contexts that inform his practice.

 

The event will also introduce Almost a Short Story: An Artist’s Notes on Birds and Trees, a publication that extends the artist’s practice into writing through observations, reflections, and storytelling.

About the Speakers

 

Vacharanont Sinvaravatn is an artist whose practice explores the relationships between place, history and representation. He is particularly interested in the traces and narratives that shape our understanding of places and the past. His work often moves between historical accounts, memory and imagination, examining how boundaries, places and narratives are constructed, defined and transformed through different contexts.

 

Dr.Sayan Daengklom is an art historian, art critic and lecturer in the Department of Art History, Faculty of Archaeology, Silpakorn University.

 

Nutdanai Songsriwilai is an independent curator whose practice is concerned with various aspects of ‘boundaries’ and ‘possibilities’, as well as visual paradigms, modes of presentation and the processes that unfold within exhibition-making. He currently serves as Project Assistant at 100 Tonson Foundation.

เนื่องในโอกาสวันสุดท้ายของนิทรรศการเดี่ยว “Sīmā” โดย วัชรนนท์ สินวราวัฒน์ ทางโนวา คอนเทมโพรารี มีความยินดีขอเชิญทุกท่านเข้าร่วมฟัง การพูดคุยระหว่างศิลปิน และ ดร.สายัณห์ แดงกลม และดำเนินรายการโดย ณัฐดนัย ทรงศรีวิลัย

 

ทั้งสองจะร่วมกันสำรวจแนวคิดและประเด็นสำคัญของผลงานชุด “Sīmā” พร้อมทั้งสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงกระบวนการสร้างสรรค์งานศิลปะ งานวิจัย ตลอดจนบริบททางประวัติศาสตร์และวัฒนธรรมที่มีอิทธิพลต่อแนวทางการทำงานของศิลปิน

 

นอกจากนี้ ภายในงานยังจะมีการเปิดตัวหนังสือ เกือบจะเป็นเรื่องสั้น: บทชมนกชมไม้ของศิลปิน ซึ่งเป็นการขยายขอบเขตการทำงานของศิลปินไปสู่รูปแบบงานเขียน ผ่านการสังเกต การตกผลึกทางความคิด และการถ่ายทอดเรื่องราว

ณัฐดนัย ทรงศรีวิลัย ภัณฑารักษ์อิสระ ผู้สนใจในแง่มุมต่าง ๆ ของ “ขอบเขต” และ “ความเป็นไปได้” ตลอดจนกระบวนทัศน์ทางสายตา การนำเสนอ และกระบวนการที่เกิดขึ้นภายใต้การจัดนิทรรศการ ปัจจุบันเป็นผู้ช่วยจัดการโครงการ ณ มูลนิธิ 100 ต้นสน
