Arin Rungjang: MOCA Bangkok

Arin Rungjang’s “Golden Teardrop” is currently on view at MOCA Bangkok until 15 February, 2026.

“Golden Teardrop” is a work that transcends time and borders, reflecting stories of memory, culture, and the quiet connections between people found within the smallest details of everyday life. Arin Rungjang first created this work in 2013 for the Venice Biennale, using Thong Yod, a Thai dessert with Portuguese origins, as a symbol of cultural exchange and labor during the colonial period. This seemingly simple object became a vessel for histories interwoven with beauty, bitterness, and remembrance.
